Our Guide Insurance Services office in Lynden hosts a “Shred Day” event once a year to gather donations for our local food bank, PROJECT HOPE.
In exchange for paper shredding services we ask for donations to PROJECT HOPE.
Our Agent, Kristen Oudman, spent some time at PROJECT HOPE today to gather some quick facts and information on what their families are in need of.
Here are some QUICK FACTS about Project Hope, did you know that….
~ Project Hope has served our community for over 25 years!
~ Project Hope serves 100 Lynden families per week…that is over 5,000 families per year!
~ They are open three days per week for the clients they serve.
~ Some common food items Project Hope routinely needs are canned food items (veggies, fruit, soups or meat sauce), beans, pasta, peanut butter and oatmeal, just to name a few things.
~ Donated food items that are a treat to families that they serve are crackers, cereal, and TOP RAMEN!
COME AND SEE US at 8108 Guide Meridian in Lynden on Saturday, May 8th from 9am-12pm to get your documents shred and to drop off any nonperishable food or cash donations for Project Hope!
